Safety

Patient safety is our number one priority at Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center. We limit the items that patients can bring into the hospital.

We do not allow items, such as:

Belts
Shoe Strings
Lighters
Mirrors
Food from the outside
Jewelry

We recommend that patients leave valuables, such as watches, jewelry and money at home. For specific questions regarding valuables and other restricted items, please call 757.496.3500.

We cannot offer diagnosis, counseling or recommendations online, but an Assessment and Referral Specialist is available 24 hours/7 days a week at 757.496.6000. If you are currently experiencing an emergency, please dial 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
